In which states are your American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters certified to work?: Our American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters are highly trained and experienced and can work in any state.

How much does a translation cost?: Every translation project is unique and there are many factors that go into the cost. Read this blog for information about what goes in to a translation quote. We always offer a free, no obligation quote. If you have an existing Compass™ account, simply log in and create a quote request. If you are a new client, you can request a quote here.

How do I request a translation quote?: Getting a translation quote is easy. Simply go to our Compass™ Portal and login. Watch this video on how to create a quote request.

How long does it take to translate my project?: It depends. On average, a good professional translator can translate between 2500-4000 words per day and maintain a high level of quality. Other factors that can impact turnaround times (shorter or longer) can include how much translation memory might be available, how technical the content being translated is, the languages involved and other factors. You can always request a free quote, including expected turnaround time, by logging in to your account at our Compass™ portal or by filling out this form.

What is the difference between translating and interpreting?: Both involve conveying ideas from one language (source) to another language (target). The simple answer is translation is written and interpreting is spoken. Watch our Snack Video on this topic!

Do you offer Braille services?: Yes! We can take your content and create a Braille version for the blind and people with low vision.

Can you certify my translations?: Yes. We can certify and notarize translations, and we can guarantee that any personal document translations will be accepted by any authority requiring them. Read more about our Certified Document translation service here.

Check the email address associated with your account for a link to reset your password. You should receive the link within seconds of submitting your reset request.

What is a pronunciation guide?: A pronunciation guide is a document that provides detailed explanations, including phonetic spellings and how to handle acronyms, abbreviations and other questionable elements of a voiceover script. They are incredibly useful for a voiceover talent who will be recording a voiceover project, and they can help eliminate mistakes and costly retakes during the project.
